"Excellent séjour, la maison est très spacieuse, au calme et préservée de la chaleur car très ombragée. Scott, le propriétaire est très accueillant et bienveillant avec ses hôtes. La piscine est fraiche et ce n''est pas un mal avec la température caniculaire qui règne sur Grenade. Elle n''est pas sécurisée mais les normes de sécurité en Espagne sont moins drastiques qu''en France."

"We all were so satisfied with the house. Firstly, the rooms to us so wise. Especially, I enjoyed the peaceful "apartemento" of my own. It was not earlier than in Thursday evening my children and grandchildren visited me by bringing the birthday cake and their presents to me upstairs. What a peace!! Of course, I didn´t want to stay there all the time, but anyway... Secondly, the swimming pool was open - full of water! It was like to go down into an ice hole in the lake in Finland in winter. I loved it, but others were not so eager, but they liked to swim down in the sea near Nerja.
The house was ideal to our family! All the families had the sleeping rooms of their own, and if we liked to be together, it was possible in the fireplace room or in the kitchen. The beds of our rooms were excellent.The adults liked to sit down and discuss together after getting the children to sleep - unfortunately I was too sleepy to be awaken so long.
The surrounding paths and trekking and climbing places were very good for my family: my son and his wife visited Archidona for one day. We all trekked in the near nature area and one day we drove up to Sierra Nevada Ski Centre and some trekked there up to the mountain. One day we visited Alhambra and it took all the day, but it was worthy! It took one day to visit the see near Nerja and Cave Nerja, too. If you are interested in nature and its possibilities (trekking, climbing), Cortijo la Mata is your place."

“ Escape to the country. My other half, 15 year old son and I spent a week at Cortijo La Mata last summer. We had a wonderful time exploring Granada and mountain biking in the area. The cortijo is nestled close enough to Monachil to walk into the village but in a lovely private location.
We were very lucky to be the only residents that week so had the pool and patio facilities to ourselves. Talk to Scott when booking to understand what sections of the house will be available to you.
